How to comb out wet hair / BEST tip

Hello lovelies! This week I wanted to share with you all a trick I use when brushing out wet hair. I’m sure we have all heard how wet hair is very fragile and brushing it can cause breakage and create fall out. Personally I have to brush my hair as soon as I get out of the shower. I hate having my hair tangled and frizzy looking hair. So how do I brush out my wet hair but still have no breakage? Well keep reading to find out!

First of all what you need is a comb. It’s always easier to brush your hair out with a comb rather than a brush because it causes less breakage and is much gentler on the hair.

Secondly what you need is a hair oil. The one I'm using is a styling/leave in oil which is perfect because it does not leave the hair greasy instead it provides the hair with perfect shine and moisture. You provably don’t want to use an oil like coconut oil because it will leave your hair greasy looking and won’t easily be absorbed in the hair.

So the trick here is to take a little bit of the hair oil on the palm of your hand or put some straight on the comb and then using your hand rub the oil over the comb.

I know this sounds really weird but trust me. It makes combing your hair SO much easier. After you have rubbed the oil on your comb you can start brushing out your hair. It’s always best to start combing the hair from the bottom and working your way to the top. When you start at the bottom all the oil on your comb will get distributed at the ends of your hair. The oil will make the comb glide through your hair easily and will not tug on the hair. When you work your way up to the top of the head, there will barely be any oil left on the comb so you don’t have to worry about your hair weighing down or looking greasy. The reason why I love combing out my hair this way is because when the hair dries it looks extremely shiny and feels very silky. There will no frizz and nor will your hair look dry.

Top 15 Drugstore Cruelty Free Beauty Brands

Thursday, 12 February 2015
I'm back! YAY! I know I haven't posted anything for two weeks and I'm really sorry! I've been busy with school lately so I didn't have much time on my hand.

In this blog post I'm going to share a concise list of 15 drugstore beauty brands that are cruelty free. This is going to be a list of brands that are easily available in most drugstores. Personally I don't always buy from cruelty free brands but I think we can all make an effort to support the brands that decide to not test on animals. Lets say for example you are on the hunt for a new eyeliner. We can all make an effort to purchase one from Physicians Formula rather than L'Oreal. I would rather take small steps and consciously purchase from cruelty free brands whenever I can rather than not care at all.

After doing some research I found out that many of the brands we use are already cruelty free like Milani, Hard Candy or Wet n' Wild. The list also includes some brands that can only be purchased online but the prices are very affordable.
